In 2011 Mel and I took a trip to Australia and visited my cousin Barry Sullivan and his wife Jane. Not only did Barry and Jane welcome us into their home as guests during our stay but they were amazing and gracious hosts as well. They took us out to dinner several times and also took us on some unforgettable adventures in Melbourne.
Jane has had some unfortunate health issues and has been in need of a kidney transplant for quite some time. Luckily for Jane, she has found a donor but there are still a lot of medical expenses that come with making this transplant possible. So like always in my family, there is an endless supply of love and community support for those special people who we love. Yesterday a whole crew of people showed up at the famous A&W golf course for a special charity golf fundraiser in support of our good friend Jane.
I really like Jane. We got along well in Australia and we share the same love for oysters. Jane has worked so hard as a nurse and she has poured so many hours of devotion into helping others. I can't think of a better person to dedicate today's song of the day to.
