This morning our coffee machine broke. Maybe that doesn't seem like a big deal to you but at our house it can send an average day into a downward spiral. Needless to say, it was a painful morning and one of those ones you wish you could just head back to bed, but during parenthood it's just not an option. For that reason, I thought of this song. It's one I started writing quite a long time ago. It's always fun to take an old idea, dust it off and change things around, and add to it as well, then record it.
When I revisited it, I noticed that I had certain lines that worked and others that were unfinished. I changed some of the lyrics in the verses and added a bridge. Who knows - it may change again after today. I've also chosen this song to play live on Rogers Daytime tomorrow morning, and since it'll be fitting since I'll be talking about my 365 song challenge.
