Thirteenth Song: No One, No Wonder

I thought I would work on and record one of my own songs today.  This one hasn't found a home on an album of mine yet, but it's one I'd like to record.  It's finished so it's come along farther than some others, and it feels nice to have completed the story on it.

I wrote this song last winter, after looking out the window and seeing a stray cat that was struggling out on our street and hiding under a barbecue for shelter. As I started writing, the theme developed further to someone on the street, trying to survive a cold winter without anyone to help them.  But like a stray animal, you sometimes lash out at those trying to help you because you don't even know how to see it, or how to accept it. This can be true of anyone, sometimes.
