Happy Anniversary to the show that many of us watched to learn our early lessons of spelling, singing, morals, and counting! On this day 45 years ago, Sesame Street debuted on PBS. So many of us who grew up with the show can still recall our favourite characters and segments. I still remember all the songs I heard on the program.
My song of the day for today was challenging both on the musical side and on the filming side. It was a lot of fun putting some extra work into this one. The ironic thing about this song is that although helps kids learn to count, musically it is one of the hardest songs to count out with its odd measures of bars, complex funky rhythms, and chord changes.
