Come out to enjoy an evening of acoustic music at the Marshes. Juno-award winning artist Charlie Major, a force in Canadian country music, will play an acoustic performance of his songs. His musical style blends country with roots and rock, plus a strong voice and straightforward, honest lyrics.
Tyler Kealey is a piano player/ singer songwriter from Ottawa whose musical influences blend pop, rock, folk and blues. He’s known for his energetic improvisational skills on the keys and his songs demonstrate a creative knack for storytelling and striking an emotional chord with the audience.
Tyler played keyboard in Charlie’s band for several years, joining him as the opening act for ZZ Top as well as in music festivals across Canada.
Recently, Tyler and Todd Huckabone joined Charlie for a two show performance in Nunavut. After this, Tyler decided to try to bring this acoustic evening closer to home.
Tyler will open the show with a set of original music, joined by Todd Huckabone on guitar and Pat McLaughlin on mandolin, then back up Charlie as he plays songs like “It Can’t Happen to Me,” “The Other Side,” “For the Money” and more.
